Brandon Rose
Brandon Rose was called by God and anointed to play the bass guitar. He asked his father for a bass guitar at the age of five while on the stage at Word of Faith Christian Center (WOFCC) in Southfield MI. He began working with Henry Robertson then bass player for WOFCC shortly there after in which it was said of him, this kid is a natural. Now years later his playing ability has allowed him to meet and play for such bass playing greats as Jeff Berlin, Al Turner, Terrance Palmer, Ralph Armstrong, and Christian McBride. Brandon’s favorite bass player is Marcus Miller. Marcus mentioned Brandon in the May 2008 issue of Bass Player Magazine as an up and coming young bass sensation. Brandon plays regularly at his church Word of Faith Christian Center, for local gospel group Un 2 Hymn and the Detroit Kids Jazz Ensemble. Through all this Brandon has remained a humble young kid who loves to put a smile on your face with his talent.
SWR met Brandon at Bass Player Live! 2008 in Hollywood, CA and, by the Winter NAMM Show in January of 2009 had asked him to join the artist roster. A video of Brandon and Marcus Miller from that NAMM Show has become a fan favorite at YouTube and can be accessed here.
Brandon Rose is truly the future of bass playing, and we are proud to have him as a member of the SWR family!
