Mikey Hachey, born January 29, 1985 in Anaheim, CA, has been a musician and bassist for over 12 years. He spends most of his time gigging and recording for various artists locally in the Southern California area as well as touring as a member of his band Suburban Legends.

His recent traveling experiences brought him to Europe with the group, which he has toured with for the past 5 years. With this band he has had the privilege of playing shows alongside Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, and Miley Cyrus to name a few. This also brought

His recent traveling experiences brought him to Europe with the group, which he has toured with for the past 5 years. With this band he has had the privilege of playing shows alongside Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, and Miley Cyrus to name a few. This also brought him performances at countless venues across the United States, including numerous shows at the Tomorrowland Terrace stage in Disneyland Park.

Mikey can be found on some recent recordings including Let’s Be Friends, (Suburban Legends 2008), and Things I Should Have Said..., (Justin Grennan, 2008), which are available at stores and iTunes. Some of Mikey’s influences include Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, James Jamerson, Tony Franklin, Nathan East, and Jaco Pastorius to name a few.

Mikey is primarily a rock bassist with roots in jazz and classical, having studied at Cal State University, Fullerton in Orange County, CA where he still resides. His parents, Pete and Cindy, also live in the OC. He also has a younger sister, Stephanie, and a small dog named Eclair.

He enjoys cooking, family, practicing his bass, and playing ice hockey whenever possible. He has also been working at the Apple Store as a Specialist for the past 4 years. Mikey has always been a goal driven and hard working musician. A popular quote from him would have to be: “People don’t care about how much you know until they know how much you care”.
